Ken Goodman aged 74, longtime San Juan Capistrano resident, spent eight years at Disneyland. He worked as a Main Street USA vehicle driver and steam train conductor after retiring from a sales and computer manufacturing career.
Steve Finley, 61, of Downey, dedicated 40 years to Disneyland beginning in 1973 while in junior college. He served as driver of the Main Street fire engine and previously worked at Tomorrowland Terrace and several attractions including the PeopleMover Autopia and Jungle Cruise.
Disney workers recount eight years of friendly ties with actors cast in Saving Mr Banks. The Disneyland portion shows Hanks and Thompson strolling Main Street toward Sleeping Beauty Castle as Finley and Goodman drive the backdrops. Finley recalls twenty takes and early morning arrivals to prep the steam engine, while Goodman’s carriage loops past the Main Street Cinema.
