Ten New Outdoor Fitness Stations Planned for Fall
The city will install ten outdoor fitness stations between the Downtown Community Center and a nearby youth center to promote health in sunny Southern California. Turf rebates draw near $600000 for residents
About 600000 in turf removal rebates were paid to residents in the year ending June 30, with 185000 going to Anaheim businesses. Anaheim contributed just over 220000, while the Metropolitan Water District funded most of the program. There were 153 residential and 12 commercial projects, and regional demand exhausted the funding. The city continues a 1 per square foot rebate and offers a no interest loan for upfront costs.

This summer’s last days for cooling off at Pearson Park pool are this weekend. Remaining free public swim times are noon to 2 p.m. Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. A family night with games food and activities runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
