At July 28 meeting the Anaheim City Council approved 200000 for 17 nonprofit groups. Several organizations received full requests while Goodwill Rehabilitation asked for 28710 but got none. Priority favored groups serving Anaheim residents, cost effective prevention, and volunteer use.
The Salvation Army relocated five of six Family Service offices across Orange County including Anaheim. The centers offer food, clothing, shelter referrals, vouchers, counseling, job placement and rental assistance. Anaheim’s new address is 1515 W North St with updated contact details.
Two interactive video kiosks on the Santa Ana Freeway widening project have relocated. One kiosk sits at the Amtrak Anaheim Station 2150 E Katella Ave in the Edison International Field of Anaheim north corner lot. The other is at Office Max 620 N Euclid St in Anaheim Plaza.
The plan includes adding medians on Lincoln Ave, Beach Blvd, and Ball Rd, replacing fan palm trees with other species, plus more street trees in residential areas. It also proposes a cul de sac at Rome Ave and Beach Blvd, gutter repairs on Magnolia Ave near Stonybrook Dr, and fixes for water pooling.
