Thompson B Ferguson Republican candidate for Congress failed to ignite an enthusiasm meeting in Anasarko Oklahoma with 47 attendees including Ferguson himself and 16 African Americans. He attacked Democrats and railroads, defended affidavits about vote buying, blamed rivals and a trust, and offered little constructive policy. The event ended with a muted response and criticism of his performance. A band notice at Fuller Hall announced an evening gathering sponsored by J Dillon.

Cogar Camp Meeting Closes With Many Conversions
The M. E. South camp meetings at Cogar in the county’s north part ended Monday after two weeks of progress. Rev. W. P. Stanley of Pocasset led the services, resulting in thirty five to forty conversions and twenty three additions to the church. He will start a new series at the Foster school house 14 miles northwest, continuing over two Sundays. Mrs. Henry Mellencamp and two children from near Verden depart for New Albany Illinois to make their home. Mr. Mellencamp will join them later, but Noble will stay to attend the city schools.
