Banner Calf Helps Bryan Campaign in Oklahoma
A Sickles township banner calf, won to flip a three to one Democratic gain, was brought to Anadarko by J. E. Harston. It sold for 56 dollars with a 10 dollar pledge, a draft sent to the state committee, and the proceeds donated to the Bryan fund. The calf’s sale and pledge sparked local resolutions and a gift suggestion to Sickles township.
