Anadarko Man Solves Problem With Portable Incinerator
Joseph Conley of Anadarko, a bricklayer and contractor, built a portable garbage and latrine incinerator weighing 3500 pounds that burns 2000 pounds of garbage daily. The device, costing about 8000, is now used in army camps and has impressed military officials with its efficiency and fuel savings. Conley, a former corporal in the 4th Missouri Volunteers, demonstrated inventive genius and has letters of recommendation from high-ranking officers. The incinerator is portable, adaptable to cities, and the Army has adopted it for wide use.
