Constitutional convention appeal seeks power to form counties
Guthrie May 27. Attorneys for the constitutional convention file briefs in the supreme court appealing Judge Pancoast initial injunction. They seek dissolution of the injunction restraining Governor Frantz and others from issuing an election proclamation until county divisions are settled, arguing the convention can provide for elections in new counties and may adjourn and reconvene.

Supreme Court asked to dissolve permanent injunction in election case
The appeal claims the district court erred in making the injunction permanent and asks the Supreme Court to dissolve it. The court meets in June for the regular session and the case may be advanced and heard early. Rumor says Chief Justice Burford may abstain. he ruled on a similar question in Greer county when no injunction was sought. School board elections set for several local teachers
