Cutting Affray at Stecker Ends With Wounding
Henry Myer, a farmer near Stecker, was stabbed and seriously wounded early Wednesday by neighbor J R Long. The dispute arose over an Indian Allotment, heard in Federal court at Guthrie where Indian Agent tried to dispossess Mayer. Atty W W Vaughn of Anadarko represented Mayer and won, depriving Long of land possession. Long jailed awaiting outcome of Mayer’s injuries.
