Herring Speaks in City Dem Governor Candidate Visit
F E Herring of fik City Democratic candidate for Governor spoke at the Court House last night to a small attentive crowd. Judge Holding opened with remarks, praising Herring's abilities and fitness for office. Herring outlined views on white man's government, state school development, and supporting the corporation commission and guaranty law. He favored sale of surface coal lands to settlers in 160 tracts. The party planned speeches in Apache and Lawton. County Atty Pruett in Oklahoma City for Tax Injunction
County Attorney Pruett left Sunday to appear in Federal Court at Oklahoma City in the Tax Injunction proceedings by CK I& P Ry Co affecting the county by several thousand dollars. The injunction suit against Caddo and other counties was continued to June 11 with Judge Campbell of the Eastern District of Oklahoma to hear the case.
