Three Men Held For Murder in Collinsville

In Collinsville on April 19 Phillip E. Phillipe was killed and several others wounded after a fight. N J Pace John Pace and William Mayfield were arraigned in U S court on murder charges. All pled not guilty and were committed to Muskogee jail awaiting the next term. O B Skidmore remains in critical condition after being shot.

Indian Bill Delays Northern District Court Term

Vinita May 15. Mudge Gs adjourned the regular spring term of the United States court due to uncertainty over the effect of the Indian appropriation division law. Complications would arise if the court met in the Northern district after the new law becomes operative. Judge Gill set September 15, 1902, as the first term for the Northern district under the new law.

Guthrie May 15 The United States attorney of Oklahoma Mr Speed has received instructions from the Department of Justice Washington to collect data from cattle growers and beef consumers to show the relation between live cattle prices and finished product costs for packers. Dr J W Jones opened a fine list of rooms in the Shields Building, credentialed as a dentist from Georgia with strong recommendations from bankers and professionals. He offers bridge and crown work and is welcomed to Anadarko.
