Lumber Yard invites customers from the city to purchase lumber and building materials at low prices. Located at the corner of 7th and B Avenues in the old Logan and Friend stand, it offers free delivery citywide, with a small payroll and no high priced managers. The firm solicits patronage and signs off as Yours truly.
A March 11 1908 certification from local residents attests John C Carroll’s reputation in South Omaha. The signers declare he has no history of saloon ownership, praising his high standing and integrity and expressing belief he would be faithful if any duties arise.
A damaged OCR style notice mentions a mayoral race with names like Thute and Thuse and hints at a treasurer candidate 1051 WA McKennon. It references a fruit tree sale delaying a week and lists Anadarko as a location with a sale near the courthouse.
An ad at the top of the second page promotes Frank Hefley for city marshal. It states the reader’s ticket should include his name. A sale of 20 claires is offered at the head of Cake Creek for 25 to 60 dollars each, with inquiries to J H Millers office.
A Yokohama jewelry maker and whisky vendor advertises a shop at No. 17 Alotco Itchome offering genuine Japanese crystals and a range of curios, gold and silver electroplate, and bespoke monogram work. The card promises low prices and skilled, obliging service with a cautious, promotional tone.
All interested in the organization of Citizens National Bank on C Street should attend a meeting this evening at the real estate office of J Byrne Co. The invite emphasizes community involvement and clarity on bank formation.
Local Knights of Pythias call members to Verde V. Hard Castle office tonight for final preparations for the installation of RK of P Lodge forthcoming. Also notes on a sale or trade of land parcels near Mena Arkansas, plus various local notices and advertisements.
