Miller Bros Lumber Yard announces open doors at the corner of 7th and B Avenues in the former Logan and Friend location. The firm promises low living prices, its own delivery team, and free delivery to much of the city, with a small payroll and few high priced managers.
Local Anadarko records show a city council vacancy filled by J G Gallagher after ousting Frank Manning for alleged domestic assault. The issue spurs party calls and editorials urging lawful voting while numerous ads promote millinery openings, farm goods, and services around court house and post office areas.
Tonight at 7 30 p m in the Probate Court room speakers include Judges W Matheny and P P Shaw.
Mrs Hattie Hand aged five and Clyde aged one and Mazel aged two were burned to death last night when a practice fire swept by winds toward their home twelve miles from Anadarko. The husband Mr Hand was in town at the time. The remains will be shipped home today as doctors had attempted to aid the victims. Neighbors offered sympathy and aid. A millinery opening advertisement follows in the town notice.
The lodge will institute on Thursday March 27 1902. A large attendance of members should be on hand each Thursday night intervening as business of great importance must be attended to before that date. TF In F B Committee.
Advertisement claims De Witt's Witch Havel Salve cures piles without surgery and treats scalds cuts burns wounds and sores. Warns against counterfeits and lists W. H. Smith & Son as merchants.
Advertisement notes a four room house for rent near Pony Office with inquiries directed to Hoffmann Bakery. It also announces two car loads of furniture arriving and special prices for the next 30 days from Auvlarko Furniture Co.
Notice states Anadarko city clerk W W Price will open the registration books on Monday March 17 and keep them open through several dates including March 7 18 and 25. It warns that no one may vote without being registered and mentions various local notices and classified items.
An advertisement touts Kodol Dyspepsia Care claiming a wife with chronic stomach trouble found permanent relief after using several bottles. The reader is urged not to overload the stomach and to try Kadol Dyspepuis Cure for relief after other remedies failed.
