Beachamp to Fight Habeas Corpus Over Murder Charge
Attorneys for Dr. F. D. Beauchamp plan habeas corpus action to contest detention over the Charles Thomas murder charge. A preliminary hearing record is being prepared for Judge Gillette in Lawton. Beauchamp testified he believed his wife had not proven untrue and now married her again after divorce. He added that about a year before the remarriage his wife met Thomas in the Fort Worth Union Depot, where Thomas allegedly threatened Beauchamp’s life, a threat Mrs. Beauchamp relayed to him.

Fulton Wins Nominating Convention in Oklahoma
Geary Oklahoma March 7 The Republican nominating convention convened at 2 pm with temporary chairman Claude McCrory of Alva presiding. Fulton of Oklahoma won on the fourth ballot over Black Willetts and Shanks after speeches by Fulton Shanks and Willetts. county delegates named A B Prowett and M B Schoffield led subsequent committees. The convention pledged unity and readiness to work for victory.

Anadaiko R R D 4 Ed R Cook returns from New Mexico after telegram that his son Rock is seriously ill. Cook brings him home. A Thursday fire swept the area, sparked by field burning, damaging several tons of hay and threatening a barn saved with neighbor help. Other damages not yet reported.
