Young Man Kills in Frisco Line Fight Near Anadarko

Ed Stenger, 18, is jailed in Anadarko awaiting arraignment for manslaughter after aiding his brother in a brawl near Frisco. A man named Miller and his wife assaulted Stenger. Stenger struck Miller with a neck yoke, killing him. The incident occurred during a dispute between the Miller and Stenger families over loading a scraper on the new Frisco line. Stenger’s action is described as impulsive. neighbors call him a quiet, harmless youth who acted in defense of his brother. Also noted is the arrival of L. D. Blakenship of Missouri to Anadarko with his son to reside, joining the local newspaper’s ownership and management.
