Killing on C Street ends in fatal duel of knives and blows

In Anadarko on C Street, Harry Mallon, a Democratic county weigher candidate, fought with T J Sullivan after an intoxicated dispute. Sullivan struck Mallon, who died overnight from a fractured skull. An inquest found death due to acute alcohol effects.

Sunday School Convention to Be Held at Anadarko

The Caddo county Sunday school association plans its annual convention at Anadarko July 18 and 19 with Dr. W B Palmore of St Louis a national figure delivering addresses. Death of A. L. McCampbell in City Home

A. L. McCampbell of Duraat J T died at his son’s home after a lengthy illness. He was brought from Oklahoma City where he had been hospitalized. Mr McCampbell had hoped for health improvement and returned him to this city where he passed away last night, with heartfelt sympathy extended to his family.

Homecoming honors for elect eng graduate Stelzner

Stelzner returns home after four years at State University Fayettesville Arkansas with highest honors. He and another student will be sent to New York, expenses paid, for a nine month course at the largest electrical company in the world. He received a silver sword from the governor for being the best drilled cadet.

Anadarko faced Verden at Verden yesterday and won 2 to 0. Ellison made a notable double play on third base converting two outs without the ball leaving his hand. New Comet Rediscovered Near Aldebaran

In San Francisco on June 23 Professor R Crawfied of the University of California reports the rediscovery of a comet originally located by Professor Daniel of Princeton University. It can be seen after midnight with the naked eye near Aldebaran. The closest approach to Earth will be July 24 at about 70 million miles, and the near approach to the Sun will be September 3 at about 47 million miles.

Tragic Disc Harrow Accident Near Mangum

A son of Walter Price living near Mangum was killed when thrown from a die harrow while driving the team. He died from injuries received. J K Wootten of Chickasha signed with a Commercial Club committee to establish a cottonseed oil mill in Anadarko. Construction to start after site and wire access, with a 1907 deadline and a $2600 forfeiture clause if covenants fail. site to be at least five acres near Anadarko, title by deed, ready by crop 1908.
