President Boyd Speaks to Normal School Audience
Dr. David R. Boyd, President of the Territorial University at Norman, visited the Normal school and gave a valued address to new teachers. Early morning reports say Constable John Hankins was shot in the chest during an arrest near Lone Wolfe after disturbance by three campers. The woman, Mia Armina Brown of Lawton, is jailed. two men fled, one stealing a farmer’s horse. Burglar tools found with the camp outfit as officers pursue leads.

Nix Pleads Guilty in Police Court for House of Ill Fame
Judge Starkweather fined Nix fifty dollars and six cents for maintaining a house of ill fame near the Southern hotel. Nix, twenty two, paid the penalty and is described by police as a known gambler.
