Pat Howell Funeral Notice From Carnegie Bakery Owner
Pat Howell, owner of the Carnegie bakery and confectionery, died Saturday night at Joe Isham’s home. Aged 27, he had been ill briefly. His body will be taken east tonight by his mother for burial, with his brothers and sister to attend his interment in the old home.

The July 1 1907 Caddo County Commission meeting approved the incorporation of Verden as the town name for the northwest quarter of section 18 township 7 north range 8 west. The decision followed review of petitions maps and census and requires posting of notices with no July 15 public meeting. Other items included quarterly county filings and assorted local notices.

Baptist Mission Meeting Among Comanche Indians
Rev Wilkin and wife returned from a mholing eight miles southwest of Lawton. A successful session drew 16 Baptist missionaries and 750 Indians from the Comanche Kiowa Apache Arapahoe and Cheyenne tribes. Dr Chivers Dr Love and Dr J N Clark assisted. Ten baptisms occurred yesterday.

Saloon attack opens prohibition campaign in county
Dr. W. B. Palmore, editor of the Christian Advocate, delivered a sermon in St. Louis opening a prohibition campaign. He labeled saloons as crime mills and urged churches to mobilize.
