Wholesale murder plot shocks Hollis county
In Altoa Oklahoma January 29 authorities probe an alleged plan to poison and kill W. J. Lamb and his family near Hollis. Victims include a wife, a 14-year-old boy, a 13-year-old girl, and two younger children. Hogs and a dog died after eating tainted hominy. The family fled and fear further poisoning. A physician confirms the fruit contained enough poison to kill the household.

Serious Accident Involving Mitchell Boys Aiming To Supper
Maurice Mitchell suffered an eye injury when his brother Kenneth, playing with tin from an old frame, threw it behind him as their mother called for supper. The tin struck Maurice in the eye, cutting the pupil. Mrs. Mitchell rushed him to El Reno hospital and hopes for salvage of his sight.
