Tremont Not Guilty In Murder Trial At Lawton
Lawton Oklahoma January 28 after a 62 hour jury deliberation John Tremont was found not guilty of murdering Sherman Woodward. The trial spanned three hearings with about fifty witnesses, two earlier juries failing to reach a verdict. Tremont and his co defendant Mrs Rivers faced trial costs estimated at six thousand dollars with venue changes and extensive testimony from Chickasha witnesses.
