Sheriff captures nine cases of liquor bound for Hinton near Gracemont on Thursday. Another cage seized at the depot in the morning, contents being taken out for delivery. No name on the box. a barcel nearby reported three more in the country Wednesday. Sheriffs expect increased efficiency, claiming abilities to detect liquor from forty miles away.
Grace mont constable W. Blakley and deputy sheriff Garter seized nine cm of liquor enroute from Gracemont to Hinton. Officers stopped George Early, who tried to flee with the load. Early carried a concealed weapon and paid a $25 fine for carrying a concealed weapon.
The state case against Bill Tingaly, appealed to the supreme court, was sustained by the criminal court of appeal. Judge Holding ruled that showing a government liquor license can prove illegal liquor sale, a hard line for whiskey peddlers. If no license, prosecutions follow. if licensed, it still signals violation.
One of Anadarko's largest real estate deals involves transfer of the Rows Saloon property on C Street from the K C Co to H Bradford former president of the First State Bank.
