A town canvass by the Blue organization reports more than a dozen applications for membership. Members are urged to secure applications and bring them to the corporate club meeting tonight to avoid a suspension threatened by the chairman.
Fragmented text requests meeting at the chamber of commerce to discuss escaping danger and mentions a 26 cent purchase at Coombs Brom with offers for a large voice. Referenced names include E H Luitwielder and Dr. D. B. Boyd with vague items and address 413 East Broadway.
Oklahoma City, Dec. 9. Sen. Roddie waives notice and threatens to move to take the capital bill from the committee if no report by Saturday morning. The capital location committee demanded a free capital building with a guaranteed date, else adjournment. Other moves seek sites and a House resolution calls for prompt submissions from towns with capital aspirations. Baptist ladies to sell furniture in Eccle ton on December 12.
Members of the Anadarko Commercial Club are urged to attend tonight as at least several business applications are expected. The note calls for a new awakening among local businessmen and stresses united effort to boost trade and town growth for a larger, more prosperous Anadarko.
Beginning two day session the Farmers Union met at the courthouse with W. D. DeBoard elected chairman and Herbert Sjoberg as secretary. J. F. Smith spoke on union matters as Mr. Miller of Gracemont and Rev. Tippett of Verdon gave talks. Campbell Russell, state president, indicated plans to attend for a lively program.
Ged Cambey and Red, local rowdy figures, faced Colic county court for gambling when officers seized a cleverly concealed liquor stash. A trunk lowered through a floor box with whiskey inside was confiscated as deputies arrived to end the scheme. Red lamented the loss of his private property amid the arrest.
Andrew Martin, a Black man, was bound over to district court after a preliminary hearing in Hinton. Theodore Pruett, county attorney, represented the state at the proceeding.
