Lawton Chamber of Commerce closes deal with Lawton Spinner Mill company to build two large plants with investments over 2 million dollars. Plan includes six land sections, 1,440 workers plus families, 470000 square feet of factory space, a water power dam on the Wichita mountains, a trolley line, and a new town for workers. D. B. Curtis of Chicago backs the project. J ane Coranilson promotes it. six main buildings, warehouses, and extensive equipment planned.

Obituary for Mrs Manerya A Heraty of Anadarko OK
The obituary notes Mrs Manerya A Heraty born March 24 1844 in Case county IL moved with her family to Miami county Kansas and Ovawetomie where border warfare events occurred. She married Jackson Hendrix in 1864 and after his death remarried John Heraty in May 1969. Seven children survive including Anna Hendrix Sampson Edward Fletcher Heraty Clarence J Heraty and Lillian M Roberts. She died of heart failure on August 24 1909 at her daughter’s home, had joined the Methodist church in youth, and funeral services were conducted by local ministers with solos and readings, the poem There is a Calm for Those Who Weep read by Rev Farrington. Burial followed in Anadarko city cemetery.

Two badly hurt in buggy accident near Anadarko
Saturday evening near a camp four miles north of Anadarko Mr and Mrs A Flanagan were thrown from a buggy when the team frightened. Dr A Jey found Mr Flanagan with a broken collar bone and bruises while Mrs Flanagan had a dislocated hip and other bruises. They are resting easily today.

Home Editors Return From Beatrice After News of Mother's Death
Beatrice Neb aided by Anndarku Tribune editors H M Tilton and Tate Tilton return home Sunday with news of Mrs W S Tilton's death from consumption at 49. She endured the illness eighteen months leaving ten children. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon. Relatives Mrs J A Buntie and Miss Anna Davenport visited.

Humorous runaway on North Seventh street involving horse and carriage
Sunday afternoon on North Seventh street a runaway occurred as a trick horse pulled a buggy down the avenue. A colored man on the wagon attempted to restrain the horse while a groom rode and pulled the lines to regain control. The horse jumped and reared, then ran for about a half mile before the groom finally stopped it.
Skeleton Bones Found Near Wanite River Bank Mystery
Cooper and Thoman were riding near the Wanite river bank when they noticed a human body beneath the bank. They dug and recovered most bones except the skull, with no trace of it found. The remains appear long submerged and the exact cause or identity are unknown.

Campaign starts drive to end Oklahoma liquor prohibition
A pro prohibition initiative is launched by the Sons of Washington led by Attorney W D Cardwell of Oklahoma City. About 10,000 petition blanks and amendments printed to be mailed statewide over three days.
