Commissioners Proceedings in Cement and Apache Licenses

The board met August 13 1907 to hear B A Bosswell liquor request for Cement town and August 14 1907 to hear P J Schwemin permit in Apache. Remonstrators sought continuance. license issued pending bond and fees. The board found notices valid and remonstrators failed to prove charges. license stayed 20 days for appeal. Next meeting set for September 23 1907 at 9.00 am.

Lawton Couple Wed In Simple Ceremony At Beasley Home

Knox Harrie of Lawton and Miss Jennie Pruitt of this city were married last night at 8:30 at the Beasley home in Lawton. Rev. Scales officiated in the presence of close friends. A wedding supper followed and the couple will reside in Lawton, starting housekeeping at once.

Garden Party Hosted by Mrs Blackmon and Mrs Russell

Garden party at the home of Mrs J P Blackmon hosted by Mrs Blackmon and Mrs Russell. Grounds lit by Japanese lanterns, hammocks and avasho blankets inviting guests to linger. Miss Clara Burke and Miss Lillian Methvin served grape juice at the punch bowl. A graphophone and piano provided music by Mr Pary. Ice cream and cake served to about one hundred attendees.

Change of Residence Property Sale in West Broadway

E C Taylor of Divers and Taylor sold his home on West Broadway to Lee Hite and will take possession mid next week. Taylor has rented W H Divers property on East Oklahoma Avenue where he will move his family. In a conversation with B R Fitts, Taylor said he plans to be in Anadarko next season to buy cotton, assuring farmers they will get full market price if Fitts buys it.

Delmas Leonard Kennedy born March 1886 died August 21 1908 after a brief illness at home of his brother in Oklahoma City He left four brothers and three sisters Mrs Lettle Nautin Tulsa Mesdames Deile Dowland Lillian Snyder Mountain View Judson Kennedy Tulsa Grant Frank and William Kennedy of this place The funeral led by Rev Frank Beach was at E B Kennedy home at 2 pm and interment followed in the city cemetery.
