Famous Idaho jurist Judge Buck dies in Spokane
Nor man Buck a former associate judge of Idaho supreme court who reversed a jury finding in the Bunker Hill mine case and helped establish a fortune for Cooper and Peck died at his Spokane home after a second stroke. Born in New York in 1833, he served as US attorney for Idaho, held court in Pierce City and Murray, and later edited the News at Palouse before serving as Spokane County judge and a state legislator. He is survived by his wife and three sons.

A.M.E. Church in Oklahoma City Destroyed by Fire
The colored Methodist church at Tenth Street and Washington Avenue was completely destroyed by fire between 1 and 2 am Thursday. Miss Minnie Morris, nearby telephone exchange manager, alerted central, but the alarm reached far too late. Fire fighters faced darkness as they fought the blaze, which originated in the front of the building under unclear circumstances. Authorities consider possible arson, with Deputy Sheriff Childe among first responders. Weather update follows: increasing clouds and unsettled conditions with no temperature change and light rain reported near Stillwater.

Fire damages new church under construction
Flames rained over the ground as oil spread and a fire spread through a recently completed church dubbed large and commodious. Mr Childe rushed to fetch a water cart but the mill door was locked delaying firefighting while headquarters men and local responders arrived. The insured building suffered about three four of destruction with some rear wall remaining.

Horses Run Wild Through City Streets
A wagon loaded with steel was pulled by two horses that bolted from Sixth and Kanear Avenue. Taming failed. the driver released the bridle to avoid a fall and escaped with minor bruises. The horses caused minor damage, trampling over lawns and breaking a coupling pole. A separate note mentions the 1776th Teachers examination for city certificate to be held in the Bei school building Thursday and Friday.
