In Pawhuska Oklahoma Sheriff Byrd moved Mrs Brown to safety as rumors of lynching swirl. Cora Brumfield arrested in the murder case as authorities examine a complex web involving Mrs Brown and her stepson Pete Brown.
Sensational disclosures are anticipated from a motion filed today by the County Attorney Jackson's attorneys to guard the action against him for misconduct in office. A hearing is set for Saturday before County Judge Davis to consider the recommendation to quash the accusation while Jackson charges Enforcement Attorney Caldwell with intimidation in obtaining the suspension recommendation.

Ben F P Johnson announced that construction of a new five story steel hotel in Chickasha will start within sixty days if the Chickasha Commercial Club guarantees a $10,000 bonus for a 100 room hotel. The club has offered 1,900 banquet tickets at $10 each to raise funds, with a secretary planning a meeting to act on the proposal.
In Muskogee Oklahoma on August 19 the thermometer in a sterilization room reached 140 degrees before the instrument exploded. The incident occurred during a heat wave described by Western Newspaper Union reporters.
Tulsa Aug. 19 A plea to be buried together was found in the pocket of W S Duvall after an attempted attack on Mrs Cordelia Fanning. Duvall, from Wichita Kansas, was arrested last night and stopped from harming himself. The woman fled and police detained Duvall.
Guthrie Oklahoma August 19 The National Guard in Oklahoma shows a nine month rise in total membership by 274 bringing the count to 84 according to Adjutant General Dentons report filed with the governor. The report notes that twenty six dollars per month is inadequate for company expenses since the increase. Stowe and eon Wilfred returned from a visit with relatives in Kansas and Missouri. Mrs Stowe's mother Mrs Dolphin accompanied them home.
A Aug 19 conference in Little Rock links Arthue N. Hager of Lakes to Gulf Waterway Association with local businessmen to discuss a ten million dollar packet navigation project. The plan would extend Mississippi river waters to cover eastern Oklahoma and all Mississippi river tributaries including Arkansas.
The message notes a 20 degree fall from 112 yesterday near the Red River bringing relief to heat sufferers. Cooler conditions are reported generally south of there with Fort Worth recording a 12 degree drop from 118.
Lifer Charles Hobart serving a life term for highway robbery from Tuiss County is missing after roll call at the Mustang Penitentiary. He had previously hidden in a trench during a prior escape attempt. A search is underway as officers investigate the disappearance. Meanwhile mule buyers Davis and Younger purchased seventeen head from A E Briscoe for 3420 dollars, shipping the stock to Buid City Texas.
In the Rork Island yards J Harris lost the first joint of his right thumb while making a coupling. De C Blame dressed the wound but the accident remains very painful. Harris travels on the morning train between Anadarko and El Reno bound for home.
Miss Jessie Weaver leaves for Fort Cobb after two years with Dr. and Mrs. D. Hy Boyd as she finishes school and receives ear treatment from Dr. Mitchell. Herman Frava opens a paint shop on Broadway displaying ore samples from Wichita mountains with claims of forty percent lead and twenty dollars in silver. Deane Baird suffers a facial cut from heat near his confectionery. he is resting and expected to return soon.
The Hotel Whitley Union, long managed by WoT and Hone well, undergoes a leadership change with Harvey Miller taking over on Monday. Bonnet plans to depart soon for an extended stay in Guthrie before relocating to Ankdefed.
M and Sharp brought Miss Abts back to Frederick this morning after a pleasant visit at the home of G W Sharp. Mrs M and Moffitt of Riverdale Kansas accompanied her home for a visit.
Auction at Freelin and Son announced due to owner health forcing sale of fixtures and goods. Local buyers invited to bid on household items and trade stock at the residence and yard setup. Auction details to be announced.
