Obas Weater, proprietor of the South Side Feed Yard, plans a large brick boarding and livery barn on Gib Street. The structure will be sixty four by one hundred twenty five feet with a forty by forty floor for buggies and space for a dozen or more single and double rigs and a fine lot of horses.
The Hite Brothers Feed and Livery Barn on Main Street nears completion and is described as one of the best and most up to date in the southwest. Built of galvanized iron with a cement stone from Updegrove and Gonder, buggies and horses are arriving daily and the establishment will supply the town with all kinds of rigas.
The Caddo Baptist Association met in Hydro the first two days of the week. Despite extreme heat the gathering drew a large attendance and produced many good reports from delegates. Rev Stallcup of South McAllister gave the opening address and spoke on mission needs. Officers elected included P J Marmon Moderator, J F Brown Assistant Moderator, Rev King Clerk, N B Mitchell Treasurer, with J F Brown, S McKagee and N E Mitchell on the Executive Board.
The State Sunday school convention will be held in Shawnee on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of this month. A large attendance is expected with facilities prepared for visitors. Round trip train fare is $8.35.

Neal Kunkle an experienced engineer from Palla City arrived last evening and took charge of the light plant this morning. He reports the plant in poor condition with pump valves worn and new cones ordered to restore water supply. Kunkle is a well known figure among early town settlers and helped build the Annderko Flour Mill. Frank Rhoades of Wenepie was in the city yesterday.
The Svile- Fiofo Show hires about six hundred people, with a war department staff of two hundred twenty men and a private regtascent on Meo round. The outfit travels with seventy one members of the show plus Masons and Odd Fellows. Over two hundred tents, ten thousand seats and 300 horses compose the grand spectacle. Five detectives accompany the show to deter crime as it moves between towns. Two performances are scheduled for Wednesday August 21.

Members of the Sunday school of the Christian Church enjoyed a delightful picnic Tuesday three miles southeast of town on the Smith farm. About one hundred people attended with ash, boated, swings, hammocks and various amusements. Plenty of good food was served for both dinner and supper.
A delegate convention of the Republicans of Anadarko City is called for August 20 1907 at 8 PM in the District Court room to nominate two justices of the peace and two constables per city. Representation is one delegate per seven votes for A B Watson with ward totals listed for delegates and ward caucuses set for August 19 at specified locations.
New Pastoes James Patterson and Mrs Graham with TH Williams nephew left Wednesday with their cut of goods for Moriarty New Mexico where they have filed of land. Mr and Mrs Williams will leave Saturday and Mr Patterson s family will go in about two weeks. Both families have lived here since the opening of the town and their departure means a loss of good citizens for An adurko and a grow gain for New Mexico.
Carnegie a Western city will host a three day celebration September 6 7 and 8 with Democratic and Republican speakers from across the proposed state. A fourteen member band will play while baseball racing and carnival attractions entertain visitors and boats will be available on the Washita River through the park.
The Baird Confectionery Company is moving its stock to the former Burnside location two doors east, due to a large summer business blowout. The new parlors are to be one of the best arranged in the city once finished.
A money pouch containing a trunk key four ten dollar bills and one five dollar bill was lost between the Metropolitan saloon and the post office. A ten dollar reward is offered for its return to this office. The notice is dated the 176th day.
The Oklahoma State Federation of Labor unanimously endorsed the proposed state constitution and denounced Governor Frants and Dr. John M. Threadgill for awarding the ballots printing contract to a nonunion shop in Guthrie. Delegates, meeting in Oklahoma City, praised the constitution and condemned the contract as unfair.

Judge Gore, nominee for U.S. Senate, passes through en route to Gracemont. Henry D. Guellioh of University of Oklahoma in Norman visits Bryan Hotel. H. M. Tilton heads toward Cache then Wichita Mountains with Lawton friends. Bowman barber parlor adds an Arbor, installed by Brubb Bowman with carpet and rest seats.
