Ben Wilson Named At Caddo Canadian Cleveland Convention
The flatorial convention of Caddo Canadian and Cleveland counties met in El Reno on Monday afternoon. W J McGiney of Cleveland County was elected chairman Clyde Mathews secretary and committees were formed. A delayed train caused Caddo’s delegation to miss the session. A telephone message indicated Caddo delegates preferred Ben Wilson and the vote was accepted by proxy. The resolutions committee praised the constitution’s initiative and referendum provisions and pledged the nominee to support these provisions and related laws. Ben Wilson was unanimously nominated.
