Glavinich testified after a chilling confession that he came to America in 1911 and lived with the Jovien family in Butte until 1934. He said he became engaged to Nina Jovien last year, a 19 year old divorcee wounded in Murray hospital, and described a disputed return of gifts, a $100 check, and a diamond valued at $85. He admitted shooting the two women and then himself, claiming the motive was a breach of faith and the women’s actions over gifts. He described obtaining a gun and the events leading to the fatal shootings and attempted self-inflicted death.
