Deadwood South Dakota September 25 a blast at the Homestake mine near Lead caused a cavern to open through the mine heart of the city. The cave opened a 15 by 40 foot hole over which the Berlolevo building and the Campbell hotel back steps hung. Officials assured residents that no further caving dangers remained as hundreds of miles of tunnels lie beneath Lead.
Chicago Sept 2 The national Republican Congressional Committee central states group met at a campaign center in Polewing today. Chairman McNuley declared insurgent labeled candidates would not be discriminated against by the committee and that only such syenkora will be sent into districts as requested by the congressional candidate. The conference also received several reports as it assessed the general situation.
Denver Sept 2 The great concern over Chint Hussein Hubbard W Slecia of the supreme court of Colorado who suffered a paralytic stroke at his home last Wednesday and was reported to have worsened this evening with physicians admitting his condition is alarming.
St James Sept 2 mayor Claynor observed the blaze that engulfed extensive fields described as essentially new. The fire caused crops to go up in smoke with an estimated loss of about 10000 dollars and was believed to have started by spontaneous combustion.

Rally day at the First Presbyterian Church of Anaconda marked the Sunday school’s move into newly completed classrooms. The auditorium and annex were decorated with bunting and leaves as Rev Wm H. Maneher of the College of Montana preached on The Mission of the Church. The morning included a program by the Sunday school, with 221 members present, and special vocal performance by Dot H W Clayton. Evening address by Rev TL Goyane of Butte emphasized Sunday school value and youth interest. A social in the new parlors followed, hosted by the Ladies Aid and Endeavor society Thursday plans announced.
