Silver ore shipments at Fitzpatrick mine Neihart
Rich silver ore has been recovered from the Fitzpatrick mine at Neihart by a leaser with shipments started to the smelter. The Joseph Nestall lease on the Fitzpatrick lode above O'Brien creek, in which Dalton & Co. have a working interest, produced the ore. The property is famed among old miners for its high past silver values. Five carloads from the Stewart Mining company at Wardner Idaho, leased to H. M. Childs, with four cars by Childs and one by sub lessee Hackett, averaged about 2200 dollars per carload. Childs' shipments were high grade lead-silver from adjacent Bunker Hill workings. more ore exposed but in small bodies. Childs is opening a body with potential for larger size. Operators of the Tenderfoot property continue activity.
