Kiddies on ledge furnish thrill at city roof
Two young girls climbed onto a flat roof above Broadway near the Hirbone block. The smaller child nearly fell as a built in parapet swayed. A police officer and city officials advised them to come down. The children claimed they were just visiting and had been allowed to play on the roof. They eventually retreated unharmed.

Big Crowds Rush to Duck Haunts in Butte
Throngs of early risers left yesterday and last night for lakes and sloughs to hunt ducks at dawn. County waters attract many, with prairie chickens sighted in places. Warm spell kept many away, but sunlit hours promise limited open water. Duck hunting continues until December with limits of five chickens per day and thirty ducks per day for any one variety.
