Red Lodge surveys electric road to Bear Creek

A civil engineer Russell Kimball completed a preliminary survey for an electric railway linking Red Lodge and Bear Creek. The 10.11 mile route would have a 4 percent grade, cost about 200000 to build and equip, with annual operating expenses around 41000 including interest. Local capitalists expect stock pressure and a committee will gather data. Bear Creek mines would gain from the line by accessing better prop supplies and faster transport, improving workers’ access and regional development.
