Curious will contest over unborn child care and bequests

Mrs. Kate Toomey prepared a holographic will dated September 11 1899 arranging $1000 to Miss Garrity with 400 to their mother and a share for each sister plus $1000 for her unborn child and funeral costs. Her husband Toomey contests the will claiming it was not fully dated and executed before her death as a lodging house fire. The case features witness testimony on handwriting and the will’s torn corner plus questions over administration of the estate.
