Camera Record of County Papers and Records Modernization
Officials consider adopting a county photo record system to safeguard deeds and instruments. A Tacoma inspired method uses a motion picture camera to capture documents, enlarging to book size for binding and storing original film in fireproof vaults. The system aims to reduce staff and error compared to longhand and book-typewriter recording, with readers verifying by comparison to originals and a new card index for assessments.
