Anaconda sports pages note local football squads will upgrade with new protective gear including helmets nose guards padded shirts wristlets and shin guards. Players practice tackling with a rope suspended dummy while some teams plan to acquire tackling machines and newer armor sets as innovations arrive.
A. gi. Hughes of Louisa extols Chamberlain's Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy as effective for customers and physicians alike. The ad notes 25 cent bottles at Standard Smith and Martin Drug Stores and widespread availability in Butte. Also claims the remedy helps with partial paralysis rheumatism sprains and traveler's diarrhoea with multiple local druggists carrying it.

Prof Levy showcases life size motion exhibits of McKinley’s funeral and other subjects at the Electric Theatre 316 East Park Avenue for one week starting Thursday October 17. Admission is 25 cents for adults and 10 cents for children, with over 5000 feet of film shown.
Amusements note Haverty's Minstrels played at the Margaret theater last evening. The crowd seemed pleased at times but the show overall fell short of standards. First part featured heavy headed chestnuts, entertaining mainly for being so poor. George Wilson stood out, Gardner and Somers delivered clever musical numbers. Others were only fair.
The James Neill company performs at the Margaret theater Friday and Saturday. Opening night features The Lottery of Love and Saturday presents A Royal Box as the attraction.
The Wilbur Kirwin opera company now in Buite will perform a special engagement at the Margaret theater next Sunday. They planned a three night run in Anaconda but could not secure dates. The Mikado will be sung at the Margaret theater.

George Miller employed at the refinery was treated at St Ann's hospital yesterday for a severe contusion of the left foot. A copper pie fell on his foot at work causing a mashed toe and a stoppage from work for some time.
The Rocky Mountain Bell Telephone company seeks a permanent injunction to block Red Lodge officials from hindering the line into Red Lodge. Judge Henry will decide next Saturday after a full day of arguments. The Bell company is temporarily enjoined from further construction in the interim. Attorneys Sydney Fox and B. H. McIntire appeared for the Bell. George H. Bailey and George W. Pierson represented Red Lodge.
Herbert Denison a 16 year old Anaconda student visits home while awaiting orders to join the cruiser Oregon after a six month cruise on the Mohican Pensacola and Mare Island training ships. He recalls sea life and training as part of his apprenticeship under way until age 21.
