The city council plans a special meeting to address police investigation issues. It will review current bills and judiciary committee work tied to the ongoing probe, with several matters expected to be resolved tonight.
Surveyors will begin work in a few days to establish the boundary line between Granite and Deer Lodge counties. The project aims to formalize the border, with crews likely to mark stakes and verify territory.

Special Dispatch to the Standard Dillon Montana October 13. W S Burnett, a Canadian native and Red Rock resident for about 20 years, died today of paralysis after two years bedridden. He was 67 and owned a fine Hornet prairie ranch. He leaves a large family including son a dentist in Salmon City Idaho and brothers Alexander and Lon Burnett of Anaconda. Funeral will be Tuesday with burial in Dillon cemetery. Alex and Lon Burnett were summoned to the bedside.
Numerous visitors stay at the Montana and other hotels, including J. F. Hickey of Denver and M. Block of Kansas City. Catholic Foresters meet this evening, with Flora designs at Greig’s and bargains at Strain’s. The list of arrivals at the Montana includes W. E. Burgess, F. Fletcher, W. Willis, and many others from across the country.
The Order of Pend o promotes mutual aid with sickness and burial provisions, widow and fatherless support, and pensions. It operates by initiative and referendum. Katie MacDonald of Helena, supreme organizing deputy, is in Anaconda to reorganize the order at 514 Cherry street.

Butte Juniors beat Anaconda Business College 6 to 5 at Athletic Park yesterday in a tightly contested game. Harrington of Anaconda missed a simple kick in the second half, sealing the win for Butte after a first-half Butte touchdown via a criss cross play. Referee Trudeau and Umpire Anderson officiated as 300 spectators watched a lively local clash.
George Wilson heads Haverly Minstrels appearing at the Margaret next Wednesday evening. The show features Dan Allman Eddie Mazier Tony Conley Herman Marin Willis Rankin Edie McGlue and a strong orchestra led by Claude Menkee. The act includes the House of Trouble pantomime and Mazier Conley in a talking act with Marion and Pearl.
