Stevensville high meets Anaconda in a key October clash after schedule changes. Principal 8 D. Rice announced the Stevens squad will travel to Anaconda Friday for a pivotal game in Great Falls on Saturday coached by Art Rolfe.
A Buenos Aires inventor has patented a combined wrist watch and memorandum in the country. A court yesterday fined and the subject paid a $25 penalty for a disturbance. The brief item notes the patent and the court action in concise, era-appropriate wording.
Ad Zollman prominent Anaconda resident contracted pneumonia a week earlier and died at St. Ann's hospital. He had lived in Newark and Aviaconds before settling in Anaconda in 1898. Survived by his widow, his mother Mrs Hannah Zollman, a sister Mrs Rowe, and brother Irvink Zollman. His body to be shipped East for burial.
Jack Nuckols was hospitalized at St Ann s after a morning crash mile east of the city on Anaconda pavement. The car hit a fence tearing 28 feet of railing, with Nuckols suffering a badly injured right leg. A passing car helped pull him from the wreck and he was rushed to hospital for X rays and treatment.
Mise Anna Bubash of the city became the bride of Joseph A. Boric of Butte in a St Peter's church ceremony officiated by Rev. Father Pirnat. The bride wore white georgette crepe and carried Ophelia roses with orange blossom accents. Attendant was Miss Amelia Bubash Kavri. After breakfast at the Bubash home, the couple planned to travel to Spokane to establish their home.
Temperatures in Anaconda began to rise yesterday after a Tuesday cold snap. Early yesterday the mercury fell to 18 above zero, a record low for the season, but by yesterday afternoon it started to climb and the weather grew milder by evening.
