Noted singers open Northwest Broadway concert in Butte
Public rehearsal by Marie Rappold Mme Josephine Jacoby Signor Niccardo Martin Signor Giuseppe Campanari drew a large Butte audience. The quartet showed superb solo work but faltered in concerted numbers due to printed scores and misreads. Rappold’s voice impressed while Martin’s tenor and Campanari’s baritone earned praise despite a few flaws. The tour continues to Helena Boise La Grande Portland Tacoma Spokane and beyond with Fred Pelham managing and plans to reach New York for grand opera rehearsals.
