Meaderville murder verdict ties to Tony Vetere shooting
A coroner's jury verdict links Tony Vetere, a 45 year old Italian laborer, to the fatal shootings of Joseph Ciccarelli and Antonio Favero as they left Favero’s North Main street home in Meaderville last Sunday night. Vetere faces first degree murder charges and trial this term. Separate inquiries will probe the death of watchman John Deriana, allegedly killed with the same weapon about 40 minutes earlier, with Vetere held in connection. Witnesses, including relatives of Favero, testified Vetere was named by the slain man. A girl testified she saw Vetere with a large gun near the scene shortly before the shootings.
