A woman from Seattle traveled under an assumed name and went to San Francisco by November 2. She was arrested at the request of Butte authorities on suspicion connected to the killing of Dr. Cayley, marking a major development in the case.
Madame La Bonta, alias Eva Hart, arrested on market street in San Francisco after claim that Dr. Cayley tried to induce elopement with her. She says Kelley had no role and that Cayley assaulted her leading to the fatal shooting. Sheriff Furey and lawmen pursue requisition papers to return her to Butte for trial over the October 1 death of Dr. H A Cayley.

Col Thomas Ochiltree died at Hot Springs Virginia at 1 o clock today from heart failure after a sinking condition since yesterday morning. He was conscious briefly in the morning, then faded and never regained consciousness. Funeral arrangements to be made by friends.
