Walter Spaulding eight is attacked by a giant eight foot wingspan eagle in the ranch yard. John Spaulding, ten, saves him as a third boy and Mrs. Spaulding fend off the bird. Mr. Spaulding arrives with a shotgun to drive it away. Both boys and the mother suffer lacerations.
WISTOWN Nov 22 The West Dome two miles west of the Mid-Northern and nearby wells is yielding 800 to 1 000 barrels this afternoon with sand not yet penetrated The oil enters from the bottom rather than seeping in from the sides which occurred earlier after casing. Drilling paused and will resume tomorrow if not tonight The company now has a promising commercial well with potential to become the region’s largest producer.

London dispatch reports Bologna municipal council disturbances began with three bombs before the palace. Rival factions fought in the chamber as a man fired eight shots, killing two councilors. Pandemonium lasted hours until police restored order.
Kidnapping charges were filed in Boulder district court by County Attorney Kelley against Orville Paige and Ralph Redfield for the abduction of 1 year old Zola McNinch of Whitehall. Both men pled not guilty at Boulder justice court and preliminary hearing was postponed awaiting the girl's arrival from Salt Lake. Bonds were set at $1,000 each. Paige named as the child's sweetheart amid reports her parents objected to his attentions.
Haiti's president charges that since the American occupation no real assistance for development has reached the country. He calls for new policies and international support to restart Haiti’s growth and stability.
Port au Prince reports President d Artiguenave denouncing the U S civil administration as oppressive and faulting Minister Blanchard and financial adviser McLnhenny for hindering Haiti's finances and development. He accuses the adviser of omnipotence, confiscating salaries and blocking budgets while citing failed American-backed proposals.
