Carrie Nation visited the White House demanding a meeting with President Roosevelt. Police escorted her from the executive offices after she shouted protests about prohibition. She later attended the Senate gallery and sought discussions with Secretary Loeb and Senator Covington, insisting the government act.
A disturbance erupted when Mrs Nation shouted against saloons in the gallery, seized by a doorkeeper and ejected. Police detained her at the capital, she faced Judge Nimball for orderly conduct and breach of peace, and was ordered to 24 or 30 days in jail after an improvised defense. Spectators found amusement in the scene.
In Albstrick court this afternoon the case against Lewis Roals Wick over alleged malfeasance and a $21 per diem charge was not pursued further. The judge scheduled final arguments for Saturday morning at 10 o'clock with County Attorney Crores advising. The printing contract dispute and county committees were noted, but the path forward rests on the remaining testimony and rulings.

Weather remains favorable for shipping.
Yelena Nov. 14. Judge Clements in Department 11 enters default judgments in favor of P.M. Calling in six cases against William Clements William A. Adama Josiah Serious Okwdllah Coleman Lone athan Koight and John Delaney. Lands formerly belonging to the men are now held by Mr. Collins. Most were sales in the Florida way with land certificates under the Sept 160 act granting bounty lands to officers and colonists in military service. Each man received 49 acres except Koight with four years service receiving 80 acres. Land was assigned to David Walker and others. some misunderstanding left signatures unsigned.
Special Dispatch reports Helena early this month. County fair associations in Montana planned consultations with the state fair management to form a state wide circuit. Secretary John W. Pace of the state fair first broached the idea during recent agricultural expansion discussions in Helena.
Sherbet B A Smith of Missouri arrives in Albay New York to secure requisition papers for the extradition of William Gelgir of New York tied to bribery allegations over powder legislation in Missouri. Governor Odell is away from Albany and not expected back before Saturday. a hearing date is anticipated next week.
A Sydney, Colorado dispatch reports 60,000 or more sheep freezing to death in a deep snowdrift north of Cokeville, Wyoming, along the Oregon Short Line. The flock, moved from Idaho and Wyoming mountains to winter ranges, was overwhelmed by a blizzard.
A Lake County reader William Munday of Med Jacket Calumet Post Office Michigan testifies after five months on Dr Williams Pink Pills he gained about ten pounds improved appetite and strength. The letter invites readers to request the free diet book What to Eat and How to Eat and notes the pills’ wide historical use and sales by druggists or postpaid orders from the Williams Medicine Company.
Washington Nov 13 The Senate military affairs committee began closed hearings on General Leonard Wood for major general replacement. Debate over publishing the proceedings surfaced with Senators Quarles Hanna and Proctor opposing open sections. Major Rathbone’s conduct and Wood’s promotion drew criticism while supporters vouched for Rathbone’s integrity. The committee planned further sessions tomorrow.
Beaverhead stock market remains active with numerous sales and shipments planned. A shortage of stock cars delays consignments sent last week, pushing trains next week to carry more cars. Ranchers plan sending cows and two truckloads of stock cattle from southern county. Buyers include J Kennedy for Frye & Buhn of Seattle, W Lonta of Montgomery Co, Avaconda, and J J Hample. Sheep shipments to Qimaln markets also noted amid storm impacts in the Big Hole region.
