Kaiser's Humiliation and Bismarck Contrast Discussed
The aged paper reviews a past and current conference between Kaiser Wilhelm and Otto von Buelow. It contrasts Meiji era leadership with the prior era's autocratic stance, noting the Kaiser’s humiliation before the Reichstag and the chancellor, and recalling Bismarck’s dominance eighteen years earlier. It also covers contemporary political talk in New York and Ohio on senatorial races, Taft patronage, and Depew’s stance in Washington. The piece references Roosevelt’s likely support for Burton and Oregon, Indiana, and other state races amid national party dynamics.
