J. A. Allen, arrested last week in Butte for passing a worthless check at a florist, was returned to Billings by Sheriff Russell Sage. He faces forgery charges for posing as an oil company official and issuing fraudulent paper. The alleged incident involved wreaths bought for over $20 with a bad $50 check cashed then returned.
Emmet Walsh faces burglary charges for a Meuller hotel room robbery on South Montana street. Judge Jeremiah J. Lynch will preside as jurors were selected Tuesday evening and Walsh may be tried at least four times this term. co-defendant Raymond Scott also under robbery charges. Jack Mobs of Livingston is stopping at the Arizona during his business visit.
