Norris is elected to the executive office defeating Donlan by a solid plurality of at least 1500 votes. Bryan expresses satisfaction with Nebraska politics amid the election results.
Lincoln observers report William J. Bryan expressing satisfaction with Nebraska’s results and loyalty from friends. He says running for office was incidental to his work and that presidency might offer a chance to do it. He plans rest after the canvass while praising supporters and noting cheerful mood at home.
The Standard reports Norris will be Montana governor with a plurality not less than 1500 as of last night from county seats across 27 counties. Returns are 85 to 90 percent complete, with Chouteau’s Fort Benton and Chinook votes making up a small share of totals.
