Special Dispatch to the Standard reports Rev. Leonard J. Christler was ejected from rooms at hotels in Great Falls and Minot during the 1920 winter and spring. He allegedly threatened to use a smoke wagon on a hotel clerk at the Island hotel in Minot if warned about the unrelated facts by W. S. Bonnifield.
The bodies of Jos W F Kennedy known as The Quail Hunter and Harvey Logan were killed by railroad detectives and inspectors after robbing a passenger train near the area. The train mail was recovered and Kennedy’s legacy of crime dated back to 1897 in Kansas City. The two men fell dead as officers ordered halt and opened fire. Kennedy’s companion was also slain and Kennedy had long resisted capture by top detectives.
November 3 New York reports a flare fire at Henry Schreiber and Co celluloid factory on Thirteenth Street that killed three working girls, wounded several, and trapped workers on the second and third floors. Firefighters battled flames as owners and workers aided others during the frantic escape.
An explosion at a Spokane wedding photo studio injures a bride, groom, and photographer. Two couples planned joint nuptials, one couple wed that morning. mothers and daughters also connected to the event. Firefighters respond as plans go awry in a chaotic scene.
A 12 year old girl recovered near Dublin recounts spending Sunday night with Raymond E. Wilson who was criminally assaulted near Manistee. The authorities probe whether two Dublin men witnessed the attack at an old deserted farm house as they press for possible arrests. The girl’s mind has cleared after her return to Muskegon and she is able to tell her experiences with growing clarity.

An Associated Press report from Helena Montana states the Montana Railroad Commission will file a formal complaint seeking lower grain shipping rates to interstate destinations. The action follows a 7 cent per hundredweight reduction for Montana wheat shipped to Pacific coast ports enacted last October by major railroads.

Town Nov 3 Three people died and two were seriously injured when Chicago Burlington and Quincy passenger train No 9 struck a Brighton automobile here tonight. Mrs Miller and her two year old child were killed. Mrs Ruth and Mr Miller suffered serious injuries.
The Carnegie Hero Fund Commission honored two Butte youths, William V. Nevin and Neil Harrington, for heroism in 1920 at Little Basin reservoir near Butte. Bronze medals and a $40 monthly death benefit were awarded to Nevin’s father and Harrington’s mother, with 31 other awards given at the Pittsburgh meeting.
Four men were killed and four injured in a Hudson Coal Co blast at a Scranton area mine this afternoon. Officials said eight men were in a rock tunnel when powder was placed in five holes and a wire was being connected to fire the blast. A later explosion occurred. The dead were George Bingham of Scranton, William Murray of Throop, George Jumulika of Oliphant, and Jonno of Dunmore.
