Nicholson argues responsibility lies with Cannon and the judiciary committees, urging accountability for temperance legislation.
Karl Ludwig Fenske aged beyond 90 died Friday night in Helena from effects of two strokes. He was Yellowstone County’s oldest voter and had cast ballots in 18 presidential elections. A pioneer Wisconsin settler, his body will be taken to Berlin for burial after a long life in Montana. He remained active in harvest work until last year.

The Silver Bow Trades and Labor council of Butte adopted a resolution denouncing William H. Taft for using the Sherman act against organized labor and urged members to vote against him in the November 3 1908 election. The resolution was adopted November 1 1908 and published by secretary O M Partelow.
