New York May 30 the Aero Club of America reports that Germans have appropriated Admiral Bradley A Fiske s torpedo launching seaplane invention and used it to torpedo the 3000 ton Finnish steamer Gena on May 1 in an act linked to naval innovation and wartime theft of technology.

Buffalo May 30. Frea W. Zimmerman aviation instructor and Seymour Knox a Buffalo aviator trainee for the U S aviation corps were injured when their hydroplane crashed into a telegraph pole. Zimmerman suffered a fractured skull and neck injuries. Knox was thrown clear and his injuries are not serious.
May 20 report from Petrograa quotes the food minister outlining a failing grain monopoly and wheat shortages amid a revolution. He warns supplies dwindled from March to April, oats are scarce, and peasants demand raw materials in exchange for produce. The central committee has 3 million pounds of wheat while munitions need 30 million. He urges mass self sacrifice to avert catastrophe.

Second craft ready soon. contracts extend to Goodrich and New Haven firms.
