Sewer flood at East Park street after board blocks drain
R Schwab woke to four to five feet of water in his basement as a sewer burst after a board wedged the line. City Engineer Bickenbach and crew repaired the block and flooded cellars along East Park street including M E Morgan & Co, which suffered soaked trunks and furniture. Officials blamed residents for dumping old clothes and cans into sewers, causing dams and floods during heavy rain.
