Red Lodge Citizens Seek Park Road Through Billings
Ten Red Lodge businessmen met with Billings officials to push a wagon road from Red Lodge to the National Park via Cooke City. They formed a joint committee to present resolutions to Senators Carter and Clark and Representative Dixon seeking part of this year’s park appropriation. The 56 mile route would offer Bear Tooth range views, cost about 20600 dollars, and already has county support for six miles.

Roger Sullivan former Deadwood city marshal and mayor, about 49, killed himself in Park City Tah by cutting his throat with a knife. He left a note expressing desire to meet ex Governor Peabody of Colorado before the act, saying he had failed. Sullivan had been working in the mines there.

The supreme court affirms the verdicts against ex-Representative Joanah Kumalai and Attorney Enoch Johnson for conspiracy to defraud the territory during the last legislature.
